Visana, Swiss Medical Network and the Canton of Berne have joined forces to launch Switzerland's first integrated healthcare organization. This new "VIVA" basic insurance model has been deployed in the Arc jurassien region, giving rise to the creation of Réseau de l'ArcSA, a healthcare organization offering its own health plan as an alternative to the traditional health insurance system. This system, with its two hospital sites in Moutier and Saint-Imier, its Médicentres and its Pôle Santé Mentale, offers the inhabitants of the Arc jurassien region medical services (prevention, basic care, hospital services and care for the elderly) with an associated health insurance product. The Réseau de l'Arc healthcare organization will manage the health capital of people who choose this health plan in place of their traditional basic health insurance, with the primary mission of preserving their health.
Antoine Hubert, Managing Director of Genolier Innovation Hub and Founder and Director of Swiss Medical Network explains: "In Visana, we have found the ideal insurance partner to implement our vision of creating the first integrated healthcare organization in Switzerland. Our aim is to provide medical and insurance services in a coordinated way, through a single organization, to ensure better quality of care for our patients, while helping to reduce costs. Several examples from Spain, such as Ribera Salud, and the USA, such as Kaiser Permanente, clearly demonstrate that this is possible. With this first fully integrated healthcare organization, we want to provide answers and propose solutions so that all of Switzerland can benefit from a high-quality, cost-effective healthcare system in the future".
Together with Swiss Medical Network and, more broadly, the AEVIS VICTORIA SA Group and the healthcare sector, of which the Genolier Innovation Hub is a part,Visana will contribute to the creation and development of a new healthcare paradigm in which the patient is at the heart of thinking and innovation is at the heart of processes.
